3 done – feeling amazing

So, I have finished my third leg of my third tri and I feel great.
Being +15*c sure helps, but I think I am over the caffeine fatigue as well. I am back to my 6 hours of sleep and feeling an overwhelming urge to Nap at 3pm.
This week started off rocky, but is going to [...]

Wth*… -7 this morning

I was not prepared for this; I do not like running when it is this cold.  I take a long time to warm up. Which makes for difficult running either way to hot or way to cold both.  And Biking, well forget that – I create wind chill.  Swimming didn’t work out, too many scheduling [...]

Here it is the end of week 1 –

Everything went squirrelly (which I know is not a word, but it is a correctly describes the week). Work went crazy, bike broke and my wife has a business trip.  Even with the distractions,  I am happy to say that I banged off two tri’s this week, plus a recovery run of 5k. I just [...]

Ran another 10k today in just under 90 minutes, including warm up and cool down. The weather is crappy so I found myself at the Y. It is boring, but I amuse myself with treadmill [...]

First full tri and a day ahead of schedule…

After spending close to three hours getting my bike ready, I was able to get out for the 40km and pound one of the tris. My legs feel good but I seem to be fatigued. I am sure this is do to the caffeine withdrawal. I really wanted a nap this afternoon and I haven’t [...]

1 down, 29 to go.

Slept in and was quite lazy this morning, which maybe the only caffeine withdrawal symptom I am experiencing.  Started the day with a run to the market, the hardware store, computer store, back to the food store and finally home. If I am going to be doing this each day, I need to find time [...]

The night before…

Well here it is, the night before spring equinox and I feel doughy…. I am stuffed full of Classic Indian’s Manchurian Cauliflower – as close to hot wings as I get. It was a grossly satisfying last supper.  Spring officially starts tomorrow and so does my spring training – cue Rocky theme.
There is nice weather [...]
